Spoken word is where a few honest lines can hold a whole room still. This season, LAFZ, a segment of Spill The Word Fest Season 4, gives that power a proper platform. Organised by Kavita Kisse Kahaniyan, this spoken word competition is open to anyone who writes, performs, or tells stories and has wondered whether their words deserve a stage. Got words? Give them a stage.

What Is LAFZ, the Spoken Word Segment of Spill The Word Fest?

LAFZ is a spoken word competition built for voices that live on paper, on phones and in notebooks. Participants can send in poetry, storytelling, or spoken word pieces. The only rule about the work itself is that it must be original.

Language is no barrier. You can perform in Hindi, English, or Urdu, whichever carries your emotion best.

Who Can Join This Spoken Word Competition?

Poets, storytellers, performers, and first-time writers are all welcome. If you have something to say and the courage to say it out loud, you qualify. One original entry could take you from Instagram to the big stage.

How to Enter LAFZ: Spoken Word Entry Steps

From Screen to Stage: What Happens After You Submit

Out of all entries received, 10 will be shortlisted. These ten get the chance to perform at the birspark studio. From that group, one winner will take the Spill The Word Fest stage and perform live.

Why Spoken Word and LAFZ Belong Together

Spoken word has moved from open mics to reels and back again and audiences everywhere are listening. LAFZ recognises that a powerful line can be written anywhere but deserves to be heard live. For many participants, this could be the step that turns a private poem into a public voice.

Don’t Let Your Spoken Word Wait

The deadline is 15 October 2026, so there is little time left. Pick your piece, press record, say that opening line, and let your words travel.

This is your entry to Spill The Word Fest Season 4.
